Bridging the Digital Divide

In today’s world, digital access is no longer a luxury, it’s a basic need, especially in education. But across many communities, children are still being left behind simply because they can’t get online.
While some learners are watching educational videos, joining virtual classes, or researching assignments at the click of a button, others are left out—not because they don’t want to learn, but because they don’t have access to reliable internet. For many caregivers, the cost of data alone makes it hard to support their children’s learning.
The divide starts early. And if we don’t bridge it, it grows. We saw this gap and knew we had to act. That’s why, in partnership with Project Isizwe, we’ve installed free Wi-Fi at schools across Postmasburg, Danielskuil, and Lime Acres.
We covered the installation costs and work closely with each school to make sure the connection stays strong and reliable because it’s not enough to provide access once. It has to be maintained and supported.
This is one of the ways we’re helping create more equal learning opportunities so that all children, no matter where they live, can connect, learn, and grow.
