Flourish
Flourish supports moms and their babies through the first 1000 days of a child’s life from conception. Moms are equipped to optimize this time in a fun and memorable way. Flourish franchisees run ten week programs covering key topics including maternal nutrition, pregnancy supplements, newborn development and stimulation, early antenatal care, and the benefits of breastfeeding. The moms are also prepared for labour, taught the value of the Road to Health book, and the importance of love and play in a child’s development.

SmartStart
SmartStart is a social franchise that aims to provide quality early learning programmes for young children, so they can be better prepared for formal schooling. SmartStart’s programme is designed to equip children aged three to five years with appropriate skills to support their early development. SmartStart recruits suitable individuals within local communities to become licensed practitioners, who are then trained with the necessary skills, tools, and guidance to lay the foundations for a brighter future for every child in their care.

ASSITEJ strives to foster cultural exchange, collaboration, and artistic excellence in the realm of children’s and youth theatre. ASSITEJ plays a crucial role in nurturing creativity, empathy, and imagination in future generations. The ASSITEJ Programme is currently being implemented in Danielskuil Intermediate & Ratang Thuto Secondary.

Zero Dropout Campaign
Teaching at the right level (TARL) is an innovative educational program aimed at reducing school dropout rates and empowering struggling learners. The program is currently offered in four primary schools in the Lesedi catchment namely; Assmang, H.T.T Bidi Memorial, Danielskuil Intermediate, and Refentse Primary. TARL provides targeted support in key subjects, particularly numeracy and language skills. The program aims to foster academic growth and increase student engagement by addressing the specific needs of learners who are facing difficulties in reading and writing.
Wordworks
Wordworks is a South African Non-Profit Organisation supporting language and literacy training in the early years. Through the Stellar Home Language programme, Grade R teachers strengthen their teaching of language and early literacy through a series of carefully-scaffolded, story-based teaching cycles, and parents and caregivers are supported to offer language learning at home.

TIMCA
The organization focuses on building a solid foundation in numeracy during the formative years of children, ensuring a smooth transition into advanced studies. By working closely with educators and schools, TIMCA develops comprehensive and engaging mathematics curricula. Facilitators receive specialized training to enhance their instructional skills, enabling them to provide quality education to their students. TIMCA also invests in interactive technologies and resources to make learning mathematics more accessible and enjoyable for young learners.
The International Math Community Alliance (TIMCA) exists to establish a strong foundation in numeracy and prepare South African children for high school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. TIMCA is currently rolled out in H.T.T Bidi Memorial. Refentse, Danielskuil Intermediate and Assmang Primary schools.
The Siyafunda Education Foundation
By identifying key strategic opportunities in the I-STEM education field (Innovation, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), The Siyafunda Education Foundation provides customized expertise, training and products to provide learners with opportunities that are out of their reach.
The Siyafunda Education Foundation has introduced a robotics programme in the Northern Cape schools, hosting weekly coding and robotics sessions. The long-term goal is to create a STEM education pipeline that will prepare under-resourced schools for the 4th Industrial Revolution. The programme also aims to increase the number of matriculants who take Maths and Sciences to create high-potential candidates for bursary and career options

REAP
he Rural Education Access Programme (REAP) Post School Readiness Program is a multi-dimensional community-based developmental project working with Grade 10 to 12 learners at selected schools in the Northern Cape. They engage learners from Grades 10 to 12, instilling hope and providing guidance for life beyond school preparing them for post-school education and training opportunities such as University and TVET colleges. REAP runs a workshop programme incorporating opportunities to practice basic computer skills, understand learning styles, communication skills, study skills, time management, conflict management and budgeting amongst others.
REAP matches students with suitable pathways and offers opportunities to improve grades if needed. They collaborate with Gradesmatch for smooth University, TVET and NSFAS applications processes and maintain contact with learners who may face challenges.

With years of research and advocacy behind it, FETCH works in close collaboration with communities, civil society organizations, and partners to create sustainable pathways for young people to unlock their full potential.

SCAT
The Social Change Assistance Trust (SCAT) is a non-profit advocacy organisation established in 1984 to advocate for human rights and social justice philanthropy. SCAT provides financial support, fieldwork and capacity building to organisations who are located mostly in rural communities. In the Northern Cape, SCAT supports four local development agencies and a number of SMMEs, providing hands on training, mentorship, and financial support.
GBV training was rolled out through The Network Against Women and Child Abuse.
Substance Abuse training was rolled out through SAAPA (Southern African Alcohol Policy Alliance), SANCA (South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence) and RDSP (Rural Development Support Programme).
