Strengthening partnerships

The Lesedi Solar Park Trust recently hosted their final Quarterly Engagement for the year.
The session gave the opportunity for implementing partners to present their plans and upcoming activities for the fourth quarter. The discussions that followed were interactive, focusing on ways to better support one another, especially in engaging parents, challenges faced by partners, possible solutions, and celebrating the success of partners.
Since many partners work in the same areas and with the same children, they recognized the potential to amplify their efforts by attending each other’s parent engagements, thus improving word-of-mouth marketing and reaching a broader audience.
Thato Gaolese, REAP Facilitator in the Northern Cape, emphasized the importance of parent involvement, saying, “Learning from each other on how to better structure invitations, facilitation, and parent engagements is key. Involving parents is crucial to our work and greatly benefits the children in our programs.”
As the conversation shifted to enhancing community visibility, suggestions like roadshows and a Lesedi Solar Park Trust Imbizo were proposed for 2025.
These engagements are designed to strengthen ties between the Trust and their respective implementing partners, ensuring transparency and fostering ongoing support for the initiatives that benefit the communities. Quarterly Engagements will resume next year, continuing to build stronger partnerships and collaboration.
